// who I am
Hey! I'm Josh, a Game Programmer and Designer from New Jersey, USA. I've been playing games for as long as I can remember, always curious about how they worked behind the scenes. That curiosity led me to earn a Conservatory Certificate in Fine Arts, a Bachelor's in Digital Cinematography, and later a Master's in Game Design from Full Sail University.
During my studies, I interned at Zygobots, where I not only shipped my first game but also served as Lead Intern, managing schedules and coordinating with other team members. Since then, I've focused on building immersive gameplay systems, experimenting with mechanics, and refining modular design approaches.
I primarily work in Unreal Engine 5, but I've also created projects in pure C++ using SDL. What excites me most is figuring out how gameplay systems tick — and then finding ways to make them more efficient, polished, and fun. I'm always eager to learn, take on new challenges, and push myself creatively and technically.
Outside of game dev I maintain a calisthenics practice rooted in Yoruba warrior philosophy, train with weighted gear, and close sessions with breathwork meditation. I'm also learning Japanese and streaming on Twitch — the same games that inspire my work.
